DevExpress eXpressApp Framework (XAF) and continuous integration
I have an XAF app and a nant script that works great on development machines. The script uses MsBuild and a .csproj file to compile the project.
When the CruiseControl.net server tries to compile the project, it states that it cannot find the XAF assemblies it needs to compile.
I have tried referring all DLLs as a local copy in the BIN folder and tried to install XAF on the development server but it didn't work.
Any ideas?

Have you tried building via msbuild right on the server to make sure it works correctly?
When we expanded to our CI, we moved the dlls we used to the third party dll folder and referenced them from here. You are 100% all your links updated correctly, as if you were adding a new module by default, this is a dll link in the GAC which usually doesn't make sense.
I would advise not to install XAF on the server, as if you were updating the approach the folder referenced is easier to manage and you can easily handle multiple branches / versions if needed.

When we run automatic builds on the dev server, it took us a long time to get the exact path settings for everything. We have builds that require VS6, VS.Net 2003, VS.Net 2005, and VS.Net 2008. Having all these environments installed on the same build machine, done for some real chaos trying to get everything to stay in its own sandbox. boxes.
Ultimately, using Zed Builds and Bugs , we were able to force each build step to its own sandbox with its own environment variables and custom registry settings.
Can you get a dump of what the build environment looks like when nant is compiled to see if environment variables are missing or incorrectly specified environment variables?
