There are other characters that do not return any result (e.g. @, #, $, etc.). Infact the only two characters that are respected are "&" and '_'

It seems that if you put it in quotes like "! -F", have you tried that? from http://knol.google.com/k/barry-welford/the-humble-exclamation-mark/3fhotx4fqh463/2# :



Google does not recognize special characters such as exclamation marks, question marks, or the @ sign. These types of characters are so common that including them in a search will significantly slow down the delivery of search results.
