Snapshot movies
I am currently learning Python and am doing several small projects to help me learn the language. Are there currently libraries (probably PythonMagick) capable of fetching snapshots from .wmv, .avi, .mpg, or other movie formats with command line options only (no GUI)? And if so, can anyone provide links to code examples?

A quick google search showed pymedia . It supports avi, dvd, wma, ...
