How to do STAR search in LINQ

I'm not sure about the clarity of the word STAR.
I am implementing a search method using linq-to-object in C #.
And I want to search using the * (stars) operator like most search apps or web apps do.

eg.
If I typed "p *", the result should be everything starting with "p".
And it should work for star prefix, star suffix or star in the middle.

And it would be great if the search can be done using the "-" (minus / NOT)
or "+" (plus / OR)

or "AND"
