I want to add a wrapper to MFC WinMain so that I can run an MFC application as a GUI application or as a service.

Can I add a wrapper to WinMail from MFC without modifying the MFC source code?

If you want it to work like a console, remember that it is not possible to create an application that runs both a console and a graphical interface on Windows. However, there are no restrictions for services, a service application can be a GUI or command line.
