Rails mail tutorial along with required settings
I am new to RoR by writing a simple application. It is necessary to implement mail functionality in the usual way of registration / forgotten password. I have googled but don't have a complete tutorial yet. Most tutorials show you how to send mail, but don't help with the settings. can anyone suggest a good tutorial with settings?
I am on ubuntu 9.04, would like to use my dev block as a server.

I am just getting started with Ruby on Rails and am using Ubuntu. From my research I found http://modrails.com/ the best solution for rails hosts on ubuntu / apache. Their documentation is great for getting the server up and running.
From there I found that the best Rails Tutorial is the official one which can be found at http://guides.rubyonrails.org/ .
A good way to get started is to look at the source code of other applications, some of which can be found at http://opensourcerails.com/ .
