ActionScript Beginner Link

My eight-year-old son asks to "teach him Flash programming." Can anyone link to a good ActionScript learning resource online? We have Flash version of Flash MX.

Thanks in advance.

You should also check out some stuff from the best AS developers ( Brimelow , Skinner , Moock ), although for the time being most of the material will be focused on AS3 (Flash 9/10).

You can also upgrade to Flash MX2004, as it was when AS2 was introduced. It's a much nicer version of the coding language, and if the transition to AS3 is ever made, it won't be as hard as the coming AS1 form.

For ActionScript books, see Essential Actionscript by Colin Moock. It will cover almost everything you need.
