How to access Java COM interfaces (on Windows platforms) API

I have a COM control (on windows) that provides a set of APIs. I have written applications in VC ++ and C # and can access the API. Now I need to write a Java application that will use these COM APIs. Can you please let me know how I can do this? Do I need to write a Java wrapper for COM control (like JNI)?
