How can I disable the Publish button in the EPiServer Content Editor?

I have an EPiServer project that uses a sequential workflow to validate content changes. This works great, however we have a small issue where content reviewers simply click Publish when they are happy with the editor's work. What they have to do is use the workflow task window and indicate their approval.

To enforce this behavior, I would like to disable the Publish button in the content editor under certain circumstances (that is, when there is an outstanding workflow task associated with the current page).

Does anyone have any ideas how I can do this, or even an alternative solution to the problem in general?

In fact, I think you can go back to your workflow logic.



If a user with publish rights publishes the page: This should be considered an approval. You can easily hook into a published event to see if this page is part of the current workflow.
