How to change your recurring PayPal payment

I am trying to implement the following scenario:

  • The user approves a periodic weekly payment (subscription) for the selected package size
  • Each week the user can: a. Cancel a specific delivery week and don't pay for that week b. Resize the package and pay less / more for this time. from. Add extra items and get them as an add-on in addition to the wewkly pack.

Looking at the documentation, I haven't found an API that allows me to modify the subscription to suit my needs.

Can anyone please direct me to the required documentation or provide a code snippet?

I think this is not supported. You might want to look into subscription management services like Spreedly and Zuora.com for these use cases.

I don't think this is possible. I am trying to implement a similar thing. I tried to release a subscription modification with a free trial period. But it seems that the trial period parameters (a1, t1, p1) are ignored when modifying the subscription. I found some (unofficial) links that free periods cannot be inserted into an existing subscription, which is exactly what we need.



I'm pretty dumbfounded this is not supported. I cannot think of how to do this.
