Android - Map overlay onTouchEvent / onTap howto?

I have implemented a class that extends Overlay and also overrides onTap / onTouchEvent (both of them).

Right now this event seems to fire when you click on the map regardless of position.
How can I make sure that the event only fires when clicking on the overlay you added?

The overlay covers the entire map.



If you only want click events when they click on one of your elements in ItemizedOverlay

, use onTap()
