Why can't RegFree COM and .NET be called from VB IDE (VB6 and VBA)?

I have a sample project with works when called from a compiled VB6, but not from the IDE or from Excel VBE.

There are 3 DLLs QA.DLL, QB.DLL, QAW.DLL. QA is written in C # .NET, QB and QAW are written in VB6. QAW is a COM wrapper for QA.

In the calling code, I create an Activation Context and load the manifest file.

Everything works fine from exe built with VB6, but not in debug mode in VB6 or Excel VBA.

I have a complete example in zip.

Any ideas what it is, what is going on with the IDE call and why it is not working?

Many thanks

This is because the application is actually running from the directory where VB6.exe is located. You could put your dll and manifest in there and work, but if you dig a lot with RegFree this directory will soon get messy.
