can someone please tell me how can I copy emails from cpanel without having to back up the full site? Thanks for answering

Aren't they just files in / mail / [email-addr]?

You cannot back up your emails using ftp. If you want to back up your emails, you need to download mail using pop3. There is no other way you can upload your emails.

You can upload emails using command line or FTP. Or an easy way: set up an email account in your mail client, download all emails on your local system.

Alternatively, you can download emails by customizing them with POP3.

In most cases, only emails cannot be recovered, so the best thing to do is set up an email account and download them.
