Connected connection was closed: Could not establish trust relationship for SSL / TLS secure channel

I have a web service that makes a soap request. When debugging in VS.NET 2008, the soap request completed successfully. However, when I deploy it, I get the following error:

The connected connection was closed: Could not establish trust relationship for the SSL / TLS secure channel.

There must be some security setting that I need to change, but I don't know what?

I tried to expand the code with:

If you are trying to use SSL with your local IIS server, you need to configure it with a self signed certificate using makecert or a similar tool.
