EclipsePDT: how to add a Drupal project?
how can I add an Eclipse project to my Eclipse PDT?
I have a Drupal installation on my hard drive (Eclipse workspace subfolder).
I tried creating a new PHP project from eclipse but it doesn't seem to work.
I have consistently tried to import a Drupal project, but Eclipse only recognizes the SimplyModern project from the drupal themes folder, not the main Drupal project.
thanks

Here is the best tutorial I've come across. Hope this helps you ... Setting up local multisite Drupal in Eclipse PDT environment

There are many links available for configuring Eclipse with PDT (start at https://drupal.org/node/75242 ). Once you have done that and also the following 1. Enable the XDebug extension in PHP and enable it as a debugger for PHP in eclipse 2. Install the Drupal Hooks plugin in Eclipse 3. Install the Xtnd plugin for eclipse
Now let's assume you have configured in your host file "mydrupalsite.com" to localhost, and in httpd.conf you point it to docroot to the drupal installation folder (the parent directory of the folders folder).
In Eclipse preferences, windows -> set the PHP server to " http://mydrupalsite.com ".
Create a new php project, select the "from existing source" option and point it to the drupal installation directory mentioned above as docroot for http://mydrupalsite.com ".
Once the project is enabled, go to the Run / Debug settings of the project and select drupal index.php in the opened docroot. Deselect the Auto Generate URL option and let the URL be http://mydrupalsite.com
Now, to test the setup, place a breakpoint in index.php and run the project in debug mode.
