How to close hibernate tools db connections

When developing a new project, I often want to recreate the schema to apply any new entities or relationships created. I like using hibernate tools in eclipse, but it's a pain when you want to dump and re-create the schema as it seems to support open connections to the db (postgres in this case).

Does anyone know if there is an easy way to get the eclipse hibernate plugin to disconnect all connections?

You might find it helpful to inform me that I also used Hibernate Tools to generate the schema. I have never had the problem you describe. I am currently using liquibase for schema migration. This is a different approach, but I like it.

I've never encountered this problem before, but we use Maven from the command line to create / update the schema and also DBUnit to load the data. Then go back to elcipse ...
