Why can't the files under bin folder be found?

I am inside my httpdocs (www), I created a folder called "bin", I put "test.html" to display "Hello Stackoverflow", but when I go to the page, ie http://domain.com/bin /test.html , it says the Page could not be found. But when I move the file to the test folder, it shows how it should be. Why?

In general, the default configuration, as part of normal good security practice, will not be configured to do anything that is not normal (for example, do something other than executing files in the bin directory, or things that are not usually seen in the database directory). In general, I would say you should try to live up to it, not go against the grain.

Possibly permissions.

chmod 755 /Path/To/Bin/
chmod 644 /Path/To/Bin/test.html

In addition to the obvious "rights check" answers and your using Apache server, you may need to add a .htaccess file with access rights in each folder.

Look for .httaccess in other folders and don't forget to use ls -a (start of dot file is hidden by default -a = All)

By the way, it might be bad practice to put html files in a binary folder.
