How do I set permission on the / dev / rfcomm0 device?

I am trying to start a box with a pipe, but I got an error like could not write / read the device. I think kannel has read / write permission on bluetooth device / dev / rfcomm0

Thanks for reading. Any help would be appreciated.

If you know which program is generating the error message, run the program with strace

and see which system call is giving the error. If so open

, then the solution chmod

recommended by Francis should do the trick. If it is read

or write

, then you should investigate further: is there a problem in the kernel or the application code.

The permission to access the bluetooth device can be added by checking the device file group with ls -h and adding the following command to that group of the current user:

sudo usermod -a -G <rfcomm0 group> $USER
