Is there an open source javascript text editor similar to gmail?

I went through free javascript html editors and I didn't find that I feel manual links intuitively. I love the way the gmail editor does it (as does the .com blogger).

Does anyone know if there is an open source editor that handles this link? JQuery is preferred.

gmail uses open source closure-libary (made by google). Some docs can be found here:

I am using TinyMCE. This is probably the most powerful version of JavaScript, and it has really clean markup! The entire user interface is customizable too. They have a lot of information about the TinyMCE website

But lately there is a very well tuned feature for gmail!

New gmail text editing options

Hence there is a simple code like above and also automatically recognizes right to left and left to right.
