JQuery-ui character encoding problem

Swedish characters are replaced when setting the tabTemplate parameter.

For example, using "ö" in href:

var $tabs = $("#tabs").tabs('option', 'tabTemplate', '<li><a href="#ö">#{label}</a></li>');

becomes:

<li><a href="#%C3%B6">ö</a></li>

Unicode is not yet supported in URLs. They must be encoded. But no URL-encoded line after the hash will automatically move the scrollbars to where you think they are. You will need JavaScript to find the element you are looking for and scroll through the field of view.



Use unescape

to get symbols. Then find the element using jQuery as you are used to. Get the actual DOM element (using jQuery function get

) and call scrollIntoView

on it.
