If you are on Windows and want to avoid mysql problems, just use v 2.1.2 just before removing the mysql connector and place it in the mysql gem. This is better, but I have faced MANY problems installing this on a Windows XP machine.

Make sure your version of the gems is the latest.

You can update it using:

gem update --system

By your mistake, he was unable to create documentation for the Gem, although he could install it as is. First check if they have installed, use:

gem list --local

And check if the MySQL driver is already listed.

If you are not sure if you are installing the correct driver version, either mswin32 or ruby is needed.

This is a bug related to rdoc generation. If you run the following command, you won't get an error:

gem install --no-rdoc mysql

I believe there are some issues causing the rdoc for the Japanese localized version of the docs. Anyway, the mysql gem is mounted.

You can install the MySQL gem easily

either install MySQL in a ruby file where all stones are installed, or you can follow the path:

C: \ Ruby192 \ lib \ ruby \ gems \ 1.9.1 \ gems

run the following command:

gem install MySQL

hope this helps you!
