What's the difference between a cache and an app?

I just noticed the Cache object when you used the Cache object to store the state data nd, if you were using the Application object?

Anything you put into the application state collection stays there.



When you put something in the Cache collection, you can specify how long it stays there and how important it is in relation to other objects in the cache. You can store any amount of data in cahce and the system will decide what to throw out based on current memory usage.
