Sys.Debug messages not showing up in VS Debugger. Output window.

Question

This is strange. I can't seem to get the output messages from the Sys.Debug methods to print to the output window in Visual Studio 2008.

I'm talking about simple things like Sys.Debug.trace ("show this message") or Sys.Debug.traceDump (Sys.UI.DomEvent) .

They show up in the Firebug trace console just fine. They are also displayed in IE textarea id = "TraceConsole".

Why am I unable to display this in the VS debugger console?

If you are using C # you can use System.Diagnostics.Debug.WriteLine to write to the debugger output window.

I figured you need to debug IE for this to work. If you are debugging in a non-IE browser, there is no joy in the Sys.Debug posts.
