Android gridview open foreground image

I can create a grid view grid as shown Here

When an image is clicked, I would like to bring that image to the front (full screen) for 2 seconds and then return to the grid layout.
Could you please point me to relevant examples / docs or pointers on how to do this.

I am not currently in front of my programming computer, so the following will be a little ad-hoc - below I would consider doing

1.), your activity extends OnClickListener

2.) in your onClick, try grabbing the viewed image and image resource

3.) choose the method that you think would be the best to show (image / canvas / new intent using dialog theme)



4.) for this new tool to render it fill_parent / fill_parent

5.) use some tools for timer control and firing (didn't play with this much)

I know you need docs / examples, but I can't imagine that at the moment I hope this helps a little
