Problem with PDF generation and session_start ()
I have successfully used the PDF class created by R & OS in a number of recent developments. I would like to use it on a page that does a database query before generating the PDF (this is basically a summary of the session, so I use session_id () as part of the request)
It's okay if I run this in Firefox - not quite IE. I think loading session_start () is doing something with headers that frustrate IE since it cannot load the page (the comment is off session_start and the page loads fine).
I'm a little worried as upon further investigation it seems that R & OS is not supported ... bad learning experience for newbies and I really don't want to try to adopt another class system at the end of the day.
Do you have any thoughts on what I can try next? Thankx G

session_start()
does send some headers when it is used. However, you can control this particular functionality with the session_cache_limiter () function .
When viewing comments manually, it sounds like IE has certain quirks when working with binary content. One suggested solution is to set the header must-validate
before the call session_start()
when you try to force a file to load on the same page:
session_cache_limiter("must-revalidate");
session_start();
This might work for you. There are other headers that might work as well ... read the comment section on this man page, it looks like there are tons of tricks you could use.
