Using external cards with a bing card

Can bing map framework be used with external display source? for example I want to use the siverlight bing map client with my own map files instead of the provided maps. (coverage is not compatible with provided maps in some areas) Thank you.

Another useful tool that you might want to use if you don't have ArcGIS Server is MapCruncher, which will take the bitmap, allow you to snap it and create tiles that are compatible with Virtual Earth.



If you need to display vector data, you can convert it to KML format or use SharpMap to render tiled images.

I am assuming that since this has been tagged by ESRI you want the method to use ESRI products for your data sources ... There are many ways to create your own tiles and use them in Bing Maps. If you have an ESRI ArcGIS Server, you can use the ESRI JS API to add your own services to Bing Maps.
