Login Control Template and Control ID = Login
When using a custom template to control login, if we add a control with ID = Login and set its CommandName to "Login", then the Login control will automatically handle authentication.
Control with ID = Entry can be any control that supports the bubbling event. So my guess is that this control could be either a Button, ImageButton, LinkButton, or any control that would contain a Button, ImageButton, or LinkButton, and could also dispatch a Command event initially fired by one of the three contained buttons ?!

Yes, it looks like it could be any control that raises event bubbles. See the page below:
