Joomla disable parent template?

I am creating a Facebook canvas application and this code is supposed to be generated in a Joomla component. I only need to output the content, excluding the default layout. any ideas?

You can create a view called view.facebook.php (instead of view.html.php), it will be called when index2.php? ..... & view = facebook is attached to the url.



or you can call die () right after your code is executed, but I need to explain that this is not ellegant?

To display only the content of the view on the page without being framed by the template, the tmpl variable must be set to "component".

JRequest::setVar('tmpl', 'component');
