Completing the Flex DownloadProgressBar override
I watch this video, which is pretty good http://www.gotoandlearn.com/play?id=108 It shows how to inherit from DownloadProgressBar to create a client preloader for your flex app. The DownloadProgressBar class has an overridden getter for the preloader property. Is this bad design? What property called preloader has anything to do with the class for DownloadProgressBar?

The property preloader
is write-only, so there is no overridable getter. To do this, from the documentation :
The Preloader class passes a reference to itself to the display class so that it can listen for events from the preloader
