Maven change plugin with Mercurial issue

I configured a Maven2 project to generate a change report from a Mercurial repository (accessible via the file: // protocol), but the target failed with the following message:

What am I missing in the config? (I hope this is a configuration issue and not a Maven plugin bug!). My repository url seems to be ok (the plugin had complained earlier, I fixed it), I also set the date format for parsing (also complained, also fixed).

target / changelog.xml, the promise was not created at all.

Maven 2.2.1 Mercurial 1.4.3 Windows XP SP3

Command

mvn scm:changelog

provides the expected result.

Thanks for any suggestions, I haven't looked for anything anywhere (and didn't get upset;).

I made a test with a random project ( noop , to be precise):

hg clone https://noop.googlecode.com/hg/ noop

And after setting at the top :dateFormat

maven-changelog-plugin

pom.xml 

  <plugin>
    <groupId>org.apache.maven.plugins</groupId>
    <artifactId>maven-changelog-plugin</artifactId>
    <configuration>
      <dateFormat>EEE MMM dd hh:mm:ss yyyy Z</dateFormat>
    </configuration>
  </plugin>


I managed to get it up and running mvn changelog:changelog

without any problems. My point is that the plugin seems to work for at least one project (chosen at random :).

I would really love to know if it is working correctly hg log --verbose

as the plugin seems to complain that it is not working successfully. If so, can you try passing the parameter -X

when starting Maven and see if you have any more useful information.

Also include the content of your item <scm>
