Merge mp3 files or attach mp3 files using java

We would like to merge / merge / merge mp3 files using "java" in any environment. At the moment we are trying to fulfill the following parameters (please let us know any other options):

• Using JMF - deprecated as it is only supported on Windows http://java.sun.com/javase/technologies/desktop/media/jmf/reference/faqs/index.html

• Using a combination of tritines, jlayer and Lame.
