Since OpenID is a standardized open protocol, then the ZF OpenID consumer component can work with any OpenID provider.

In addition, ZF implements a component to create its own provider.

In particular, ZF supports the following OpenID standards:



  • OpenID authentication protocol version 1.1
  • OpenID Authentication Protocol version 2.0 version 2.0
  • Open source extension OpenID version 1.0
  • OpenID Simple Extension Version 1.1 version 1

Thus, any vendor that implements any of the authentication protocols (and possibly any of the SREs for sharing profiles) will work with ZF.
