Is Percussion CMS customizable (software)?
Just wondering if anyone has any recent programming experience in the Percussion CMS environment. Is it really "locked", or when you find that the default admin settings won't help achieve any functionality, can you go to the source files and / or the database and actually force them to do what you want? Is there an API?

Percussion CMS (Percussion CM) provides web services / SOAP endpoints ( http://goo.gl/NdDvi ) that you can call to perform all the functions you would normally do through the provided UI. In addition to web services, developers can create Java and JavaScript extensions that allow you to add content items, content item fields, publish executables and templates outside of the default factory ( http://goo.gl/Rda5u ).

Also note that there is Percussion CM1 which does not offer the same extensibility.
