WSDL2Java generates the same parameter twice when element and attribute have the same name

I have an XML schema that has an element with the same name as the attribute:

...
<xs:sequence>
    <xs:element name="subscriberId" type="String"/>
    ...
    </xs:element>
</xs:sequence>
<xs:attribute name="subscriberId" type="String" use="required"/>
...

      

        
        
        
      

    

Axis 1.4 WSDL2Java generates two identical parameters in the class constructor, which of course doesn't work:

public Xpto(java.lang.String subscriberId,
       java.lang.String subscriberId,
       ....
)

      

        
        
        
      

    

Is there a way to solve this problem? WSDL2Java configurations not working.
