There is a tool called "valgrind". This is one of the best memory leak checks, but I'm not sure if it exists for windows ... Try

If you have Deleaker, it monitors resource leaks in addition to memory leaks.

You can use LeakDiag (and LDParser, LDGrapher), good for unmanaged code including COM.

AQtime can help you catch memory leaks. But this is a commercial product.

Are you developing a COM object or are you just using it? Do you have a source?

If you don't have a source, you're pretty much on your own.

If you do this, then any normal check for memory leaks will be performed. I am using Bounds Checker, which is part of the MicroFocus DevPartner Studio product (see http://www.microfocus.com/products/micro-focus-developer/devpartner/visual-c.aspx here ). It's commercial, but there is a trial version out there that might help you ...
