How to test twitter api on your local machine

I am using twitterizer to have a web interface to transfer data. I am trying to figure out how I can test the local machine when you need to provide a valid public callback url in your application registration. Twitter page doesn't allow to have callback url:

http: // localhost: 3444 / Callback ..

any suggestions?

You can use http://127.0.0.1:port/ ...

The Twitterizer sample app is already set up for local testing.

Can you use your IP instead of localhost?

You can get it using whatismyip.com.

NTN

Use a service like No-Ip to set a static DNS name for your dynamic ip and then use that in your api call.

If you are integrating this library into your application, I would wrap the Twitterizer API in an interface and then mock the implementation when testing.

modify the example hosts file;

127.0.0.1 mytwitter.com

add website to IIS

mytwitter.com and displays your project
