What's the best browser html editor for WYSIWYG browser?

Kompozer is probably the "king" of free HTML editors on the desktop. I can't admit that I tried this myself, but my efforts with Nvu (which it's based on) were less successful (by the time it replaced every newline inside my <br> element, editing in original mode, I was pissed off enough to remove it).
I've had more success with Amaya , but this is a test bed and it shows.
I would not use a so called WYSIWYG editor for anything other than a basic structure (i.e. allowing it to handle headings, tables, paragraphs, links, etc.). I've never found a dot-and-click system that tried to do a layout that I happily removed (including Dreamweaver (which isn't free)).
