I know about the increase, but is there a way to reduce the size of the EBS volume? It was like I put an effort into my OMI, but I soon realized that it was very important for my needs. This is a Windows 2008 instance.

You can take a snapshot of the volume and then create the ebs volume from the reduced snapshot. The shot will be in "volumetric" size to give you an idea of ​​how little you can go as I understand it.



I think if the snapshot route doesn't work, you can simply create a smaller volume, copy more to a smaller one, and then get rid of the larger one.
