Do I need a Team Foundation Server to use CodedUI?

I would like to write some basic tests for our web and Winforms applications.

I already have Visual Studio 2010 Ultimate. Do I also need TFS to use the new CodedUI tests?

No, you don't need to have TFS to use the coded interface tests. You can create your tests in Visual Studio and run them directly from there or via mstest. The main benefit of TFS will be the ability to run tests on multiple physical and virtual test machines through Test Manager. You will also get a central comparison of test results in the TFS repository.

No, you don't need TFS. Visual Studio 2010 Ultimate is enough to record and run codedUI tests.
