VS 2008 + Intel Fortran Issues

I am using VS 2008 with Intel Visual Fortran compiler. Its integration with VS is very good, but there are a few things I still want to figure out. Hope you can help me with some of them.

  • Is there a way to define new (folding) rules in VS so that it automatically folds from, say, CALL SUBROUTINE to END SUBROUTINE?
  • Is there a way to override VS keyboard shortcuts. I would like to redefine the comment shortcut from default to something simpler like Alt-C?
  • I often do a project where I need to add some additional dependencies in the configuration properties and some libraries. Is it possible to define a new project somehow (you know when I go to New Project then I will have MyNiceProject), so I have predefined these settings.
  • I have installed Intel Array renderer. Nice thing as a standalone application, but when I go into debug mode I don't see the ability to render any array. The View Array option in the Debug toolbar remains grayed out. Any ideas?

Help on any of these would be much appreciated.

I know these are 4 questions under the same title, but not many people use fortran with vs here, so I thought it better not to "choke" on the main page with 4 separate ones.

I know one answer about the array renderer, I'm pretty sure your operating system is 64 bits. Array renderer integration with VS 2008 does not work for 64 operating systems.

  • Dunno.

  • Yes - Tools | Options | Wednesday | Keyboard

  • Dunno.

  • Dunno.

But my inadequate answers to your questions make me try to find out a little more. I confess that I usually use Emacs to edit Fortran source files, just use VS as the build tool for Windows.
