Is there a standard authorization authorization system asp.net authorization?
"generated aspnetdb.mdf" is the ASP.NET membership model. You can use it on websites without the generated aspnetdb.mdf.
From an article on MSDN called Introduction to Membership :
ASP.NET membership gives you a built-in way to validate and store user credentials. Membership in ASP.NET therefore helps you manage user authentication on your websites. You can use ASP.NET membership with ASP.NET Forms Authentication or by using ASP.NET controls to create a complete user authentication system.

You can use aspnet_regsql.exe to create the required tables / sprocs / views on any db SQL server of your choice. Once you have added the correct connection string and memberhhip configuration, you can use all the membership stuff that was added with .net 2.0
4 Guys have a pretty good membership implementation guide and they cover using aspnet_regsql.exe.
