Problem with properties in SolutionToBuild

I am trying to use property metadata in a SolutionToBuild element in Team Build.

I am adding a version to the property metadata inside the target, which is called before the code is even fetched (BuildNumberOverrideTarget), but I think this is too late. My modified values ​​are not propagated to built solutions.

When this data is passed into solutions (explicitly before it gets pulled out of source control).

If I want to do some calculations (like the version number) before this happens, is there a purpose that can be done in?

If you add your dynamically generated property to CustomPropertiesForBuild, it will be available later in your build process.
