How do I compile Eclipse with Java 1.5 on Mac OS X Leopard (10.5)?

I am developing in Snow Leopard (10.6). I believe I have some Java6-enabled APIs and would like to find them. I have migrated my project to Leopard (10.5) - since Snow Leopard does not support Java 1.5, but I still cannot get Eclipse to give compilation errors for calling the Java API, which I know was added in 1.6.

Here's what I did: Project Properties -> Java Compiler -> set everything to 1.5. Settings -> Java -> Installed JREs -> Selected JVM 1.5.0. Project Properties -> Java Build Path -> Libraries -> reports JRE System Library [JVM 1.5.0]

What am I missing? Is there any other way to find the Java API calls added in 1.6 when using Eclipse in Snow Leopard?

Thanks.

If JVM 1.5.0 is installed as your system library and the compiler options are 1.5, the only possible problem might be other (non-JVM) libraries that might have 1.6 code, and it should just be checking the library vendor documentation for relatively minimal requirements. The only other check is if you have unit tests, they run them in the 1.5 JRE that you have installed, or you are missing that running your application using the 1.5 JVM and run it through your steps.
