Can't get ASP.Net to work correctly on IIS 7 / Windows Server 2008 combine

I'm trying to deploy a segment of our site to a new server and I get the following error when I try to pull up any ASP.Net page ...

"401 - Unauthorized: Access is denied due to invalid credentials. You do not have permission to view this directory or page using the credentials you provided."

What permissions should I check?

What kind of authentication does the site use? Windows Anonymous? Have you installed the appropriate security features? Try to enable or disable "Turn on Windows" - IIS - WWWS - Security ...
