How do I determine if a message type has been sent or sent?

I am aware that some types of messages are sent directly to window procedures and others are sent to the thread's message queue, but I have not found a way to determine if a message will be sent or posted.

MSDN is half helpful; he explained what was going on , but the examples he gives are supposedly not exhaustive.

Is there a definitive list of sent or posted messages, or a way to decide what type of message?

And some messages are not sent or sent. For example, WM_PAINT, WM_TIMER and some others. They are simply returned by GetMessage when the sent message queue is empty.

I'm not sure what kind of applications you are trying to connect, but if you have to ask questions like this then I / m is a little scared. Nothing disappoints the developer that he wastes time on user alarms only to find out that the cause is due to another application that enters the wrong code. Be careful!

Also, Spy ++ (a tool that comes with Visual Studio) will show you what messages are sent / sent / received for any given live windows application.

Use InSendMessage

or InSendMessageEx

to determine if you are processing the message sent by the call to the SendMessage

function.
