IIS7 automatically redirects to null (in IE)

I am developing an ASP.NET website with VB. My website works fine with Firefox. But with IE, it automatically redirects null.

When i try

http://localhost/mysite/Default.aspx

IE6 / IE7 automatically redirects to

http://localhost/mysite/null

But no problem with pages inside subfolders. When I try with

http://localhost/mysite/forum/

It works great. I just cannot view pages in the root folder.

What should I do? I am using IIS7 and .net framework 2.0.

thanks

Yes ... that's weird. "null" is not really a normal place to redirect web traffic. Can you think of wherever you are in your code / IIS settings that could be redirected to a page named "null". It's also strange that the difference between firefox / ie.

Does it have anything to do with authentication? IE can have automatic Windows Authentication causing your application to behave differently as it thinks you are logged in. Try disabling Windows Authentication in IIS.

Alternatively, can you debug your code? Is any code executed on your home page before the redirect?

First uncheck the error message in internet explorer in tools-> internet options-> Next, then browse.

Another thing if you are redirecting some kind of dynamic link? And that results in a redirect to zero.

Check your code. I think there might be problems in your code.
