Unmap TT files in VS.NET 2008?

Is there a way to unpack .tt files in Studio?

Every time I create or edit it, it warns me about them and then creates a .cs file for it.

Thing is, my .tt files are different. These are Template Toolkit files from a Perl project and their standard extension is .tt

I tried to add an extension map from tt to a text editor, but I still get unwanted behavior in this project.

The warning can be recorded in "Tools-> Options", "Text Templating".

I do not believe that the "mapping" can be saved, but it can be reversed. With one of the selected .tt files selected, press F4 to see the Properties grid. You will see that the Custom Tool property is set to TextTemplatingFileGenerator. Clear that field and you will find the .cs file goes away.
