How can I disable the WebBrowser component from loading images?

Use TEmbeddedWB instead of TWebBrowser and you can do it easily change the DLCTL_DLIMAGES parameter to false

If you're using Delphi, as Nasman said, TEmbeddedWB is a much more updated web browser control frontend.
