Start iPhone development
Hey everyone, quick question. My ultimate goal is to start developing iPhone apps, but my current skill set is pretty limited. I'm wondering how far back should I go back and where should I start by getting to know the encoding before the iPhone SDK course at Lynda.com makes my eyes look back.
My experience: I taught myself html from html for layouts maybe 10 years ago, I took the Dreamweaver class and created several sites with it, and I set up my own hosted wordpress blog playing with php code.
Any tips on where should I start if I want to walk the path to iPhone development? Thanks!

If an iphone is what you want to do, I would recommend starting with the iPhone SDK and some samples. Developing native iPhone apps is quite different from HTML - it's mostly Objective C where you have to worry about memory allocation / cleanup and pointers, but the quickest way to find if you like it or not is to download the free SDK and try it out.
If you feel like you don't like it, the browser capabilities on the iPhone and iPad are pretty advanced and I've seen very good browser-based apps built using web technologies.
