JQuery doesn't work in IE and gives an error

I have jquery validation code that works fine in ff, but the same code doesn't work in Internet Explorer. There is no error when running the same script in FF, but there is an error when I run the same scritp in internet explorer that the error looks like this

Error: expected id, string or number code: 0

I cannot understand this problem, please, any of you have something to do with this. I can't paste the code here because the code is very large?

so please has anyone come across such an error before or does anyone know any possibility due to this error. please help friends!

Like others have said, without your code, it's pretty hard to answer.

However ... there is one thing I can think of that throws IE into a fit when you behave correctly in Firefox, Safari, etc.

If you add an extra comma at the end of a list or object definition it will throw this error in IE.

Check and make sure you don't have an extra "," before the end of the curly brace.
